Our clients had seen us building the Netton house down the road and requested an initial meeting to discuss whether we could rebuild their 4-bed house, incorporating granny annex.
From that initial discussion we were involved from drawings right through to completion. We recommended an architect, organised structural drawings, demolished the existing house, cleared and levelled the site and rebuilt their beautiful 4-bed home including a self-contained granny annex including bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchenette.
The family had previously lived in army accommodation, regularly moving from pillar to post, so this was the first home that was theirs and it needed to suit three generations, including teenagers and a grandparent, so not only was it emotional for them all but very exciting too. Because they weren’t living on site, every visit brought tears of joy, every visit a step closer to their first real family home.
Our client was so supportive throughout and could often be found on site dishing out delicious home-made cakes to the Woodland team, great for morale but not so great for waistlines!
The client enjoyed the build process so much that she set up a Facebook page, so she could post and share regular progress updates with family and friends. Now the project is complete, they’ve even sent a thank you card to say they are missing the Woodlands Oak team!
